Hannah Perwin - Beloit College
Freshman - Miami, Fla./Summit Prep
Perwin opened her collegiate career with a #1 singles victory over Knox’s top singles player, winning 6-1, 6-3. The freshman’s singles victory came after teaming with Erika Zevin for an 8-1 win at #1 doubles. Perwin’s effort helped the Bucs to an 8-1 team victory over the Prairie Fire in the squad’s first match of the season. |

| Week 2: September 12, 2006 |

Susan Klumpner - Lawrence University
Junior - Downers Grove, Ill./South
Klumpner did not lose a single or doubles match last week, as she led Lawrence to victories in all three of the team’s matches. Playing at No. 1 singles, Klumpner won in straight sets against the top singles players from MSOE (6-1, 6-4), Edgewood (6-3, 6-1) and UW-River Falls (6-4, 6-2). The senior teamed with Hanah McCarthy for No. 1 doubles action, where the duo downed the top tandems from all three opponents by scores of 8-1, 8-2 and 8-3, receptively.

Hanah McCarthy - Lawrence University
Sophomore - Bozeman, Mont./Bozeman
McCarthy won three matches at No. 2 singles
and two at No. 1 doubles last week, helping the Vikings to an unbeaten start in MWC play with a win over Carroll, along with team victories over UW-Oshkosh and UW-Stevens Point. McCarthy
stood out in a 5-4 triumph over UW-Stevens Point and a 6-3 win over Carroll, as the sophomore swept her singles matches and teamed with Susan Klumpner to win both doubles matches as well. McCarthy also rallied in singles action (5-7, 7-6, 10-7) to notch the decisive point in the Vikings 5-4 win over UW-Oshkosh. On the season, she is 6-3 in singles and doubles play.

Cassie Frantz - Monmouth College
Sophomore - Macomb, Ill./Macomb
Frantz helped the Fighting Scots to a 3-0 week with convincing 7-2 wins over Knox and Ripon and a 6-3 victory over St. Ambrose. Frantz did not lose a set playing at No. 1 singles, improving her record to 5-4 with three straight-set victories. The sophomore also teamed with classmate Brittany Donnelly to post a 2-1 record at No. 1 doubles for the week. Frantz’s 5-1 record for the week was equaled only by her doubles partner.

| Week 5: October 3, 2006 |

Hana Poser - Carroll College
Junior - Columbus, Wis./Columbus
Poser posted a perfect record last week, as the sophomore combined to go 6-0 in singles and doubles action in a trio of Carroll victories.
Poser won all three of her singles matches at the No. 1 flight and combined with Emily Linse for three wins at No. 1 doubles. The Lady Pioneers recorded victories over MSOE (9-0), Knox (5-4) and MWC divisional foe Ripon (7-2). Poser improved to 8-2 on the season in singles play. |

Alli Berry - Lake Forest College
Junior - Plymouth, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong
Berry became the Foresters all-time winningest No. 1 singles player in school history when she notched her 28th and 29th career victories last week. Both wins came against divisional foes, as the Foresters clinched their eighth straight trip to the MWC Team Championship Tournament. Berry’s 6-2, 2-6, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles was the team’s fifth and deciding point in a 5-4 triumph over Monmouth and her 6-0, 6-0 win at Knox made her Lake Forest’s new record-holder. She also teamed with Anastasia Rudkovskaya to post a No. 1 doubles victory against Knox. |
