Shauna Skowronski, Monmouth
Skowronski, a freshman from Peoria, Ill. (Notre Dame), served notice that she could be on her way to an outstanding tennis career at Monmouth, posting victories in singles and doubles in her first-ever collegiate match. She topped her Ripon foe in No. 1 singles 6-2-, 6-2 after teaming with Sara Yerks for an 8-3 victory at No. 1 doubles. |

Shweta Khajuria, Grinnell
Khajuria, a native of Gajarat, India, was 3-1 at No. 1 singles and 4-0 at No. 2 doubles for the week in Grinnell’s wins over Carroll, Illinois C. and Beloit, along with a loss at Cornell. Against Carroll she won her singles match 6-3, 6-0, and her doubles match 8-3. Against Illinois C., she won 6-2, 6-1 in singles play and 8-2 in doubles play. Against Beloit, she won 6-0, 6-0 in singles competition and 8-0 in doubles play. At Cornell, Khajuria won in doubles play 8-4. |

Serene Sahar, Lawrence
Sahar, a junior from New Berlin, Wis. (Eisenhower), went unbeaten in singles and 4-1 in doubles, as Lawrence posted a 3-2 record in dual matches. She started her week by securing both points in a loss to Carroll. She pulled out a 7-5, 6-3 victory at No. 2 singles and an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles. Sahar then won at No. 2 singles in Lawrence’s win at the UW-Stevens Point, but took her only loss of the week, 8-6, at No. 1 doubles. At No. 2. singles, she won 6-1, 6-1 and pulled out a 9-8 victory at No. 1 doubles against Beloit in a team victory. In the match against Illinois C. the same day, Sahar won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2 singles and won 8-6 at No. 1 doubles. She finished on Sunday with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles and an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles, as Lawrence beat MSOE. |

Alli Berry, Lake Forest
Berry, a freshman from Plymouth, Minn. (Robbinsdale Armstrong), helped Lake Forest win three matches against Midwest Conference opponents. Berry won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles and 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles in Friday’s win over Illinois C., which clinched Lake Forest a spot in the MWC Team Championship Tournament. She also won at both positions (6-1, 6-2 in singles and 8-2 in doubles) in a victory over St. Norbert on Sunday. Later in the day, she won 8-2 in doubles and by default in singles in another triumph over Beloit. |

Rachel Engh, Grinnell
Engh, a freshman from Minneapolis, Minn., went 2-0 this past weekend in the #5 singles slot, winning in straight sets against Central and Augustana. She also teamed with Gretchen Lay to go 2-0 in #3 doubles action. Engh is undefeated in singles play at 10-0 this season and 8-2 in doubles play. |

Hana Poser, Carroll
Poser, a freshman from Columbus, Wis. (Columbus), went 3-0 last week at the #6 singles spot for the Lady Pioneers and also went 3-0 in doubles play as Carroll defeated MSOE and St. Norbert while losing to Beloit. Poser is now 11-0 in singles play this season (#6 7-0, #5 2-0, #4 1-0, #3 1-0) and 9-2 in doubles action. |

Liz Ferry, Knox
Ferry, a senior from Springfield, Ill. (Sacred Heart-Griffin HS), went 2-0 on the week helping Knox to a victory over Monmouth. The #1 singles player defeated Monmouth’s Shauna Skowronski 6-1, 6-2 and then teamed up with Melissa Birkett to defeat the #1 singles duo from Monmouth 8-5. On the season, Ferry has an overall singles record of 8-1 playing at #1 while sporting a 5-3 record in doubles action, also playing at #1. |
