For the week of Oct. 22

Offense


Betsy Moyer

 

Betsy Moyer, Lawrence University
(SR/ FW/ Eau Claire, WI/ Memorial HS) Scored 3 goals and had an assist in a 6-0 LU victory vs Monmouth. Moyer scored a goal and had 3 assists in a 7-1 win vs Illinois College. Her efforts aided in Lawrence securing the last MWC Championship Tournament spot.

Megan Pluskis, Grinnell College
(FR/ Outside Back/ Dyer, IN)
Pluskis was outstanding as Grinnell went 3-0 for the week, ALL SHUT-OUTS. Pluskis was phenomenal in a 4-0 shut-out of Simpson, and continued stellar play in victories over Ripon (7-0) and Carroll (3-0).

 

Monique Roberts, Knox College
(SO/ DF/ Florissant, MO) Roberts has played well all season, and continued her outstanding play last week in three losses. Roberts has not allowed a goal from her position all season, and played well in losses to Benedictine (8-3), Carroll (2-0), and Ripon (2-1).

Sandi Coutts, Lake Forest (JR/ Round Lake, IL/College of Lake County) Scored 2 goals against Monmouth (LFC 5, MC 0) and one goal against Illinois College (LFC 4, IC 0), leading the Foresters this season with nine goals, eight coming in MWC play.

Katie Cox

Katie Cox, St Norbert College (SO/ DF/ Palatine, IL/ Loyola Academy) Led SNC defense to a 2-0 victory over Lawrence and limited UW-SP in a 3-0 loss to Point. Helped defense that has been scored on just once in MWC play. This is SNC's third defensive POW for 2000.



For the week of Oct. 8

Jocelyn Durant

 


Jocelyn Durant, Lake Forest (FR/ MF/Old Grenwich, CT/Berkshire) Durant tied the game versus Grinnell at the 87:35 mark with her first career goal. Her first career assist came Sunday in a 3-0 win against Beloit. Lake Forest remains in the hunt for the MWC title.

Defense


Rachel LaFin

Rachel LaFin, Lake Forest (SO/GK/Glen Ellyn, IL/Glenbard West) LaFin stopped 15 of 17 shots to tie with Grinnell, 2-2, and also shutout Beloit on Sunday, 3-0. Rachel is 6-2-1 this season with a 1.26 GAA and a save percentage of .848.

Kim Olson

Angela Molnar, Beloit College (SO/ FW/ New Berlin, WI/West HS) Molnar scored 5 goals last week, including 3 against Ripon in a 4-2 Buc win. She leads Beloit with 8 goals for 2000.

 


Kim Olson, Monmouth College
(FR/ FW/ West Chicago, IL) Set Monmouth single season records after scoring three goals last week. She has 15 goals and 30 points on the season. She scored the opening and the game clinching goal in a 3-1 win over Knox. She also scored in a 3-1 loss to Benedictine.

Defense


Sarah Gagnon

Sarah Gagnon, Beloit College (JR/ DF/ Georgetown, Mass.) Vital defender in Bucs' 4-2 victory over Ripon. Shadowed RC's Lauren Guilette and hounded everyone else.

 


For the week of Sept. 24

Offense


Kirsten Erickson

Kirsten Erickson, Carroll College
(Sr/ FW/ West Bend, WI/ East HS) With a 13 point week-end, Erickson became the leading all-time scorer in Carroll history. She helped Carroll beat Monmouth (7-2) and Illinois College (2-0). Erickson has 8 goals on the season and 18 points thus far in helping Carroll to a 3-3, 2-2 record. She now is the Carroll all-time leader in points and assists, and is three goals shy of becoming the all-time leading goal-scorer.

Julie Schubring

Julie Schubring, St Norbert College
(Jr/ Stopper/ Wausau, WI/ East HS) Schubring aided in shut-outs of defending MWC Champion Grinnell (1-0) in Grinnell, and at Knox (3-0). The Green Knights are 4-4, 3-0 in the MWC.

 



For the week of Sept. 17

Offense


Abbey Suter

Abbey Suter, Illinois College (Jr/ FWD/ Jacksonville, IL) Suter scored all three goals in a 3-2 victory against Knox--IC's first MWC win since 1998. Suter tied the game at 2-2 at the 84:35 mark, and won it with a second overtime goal. She also had 3 points (goal and an assist) in a 4-1 road victory at Monmouth. This victory was the first away from Jacksonville for the Lady Blues since 1997.

Liz Graf

Liz Graf, Grinnell College (Sr/ Stopper/ Clive, IA)--1999 MWC Player of the Year had a goal and 2 assists vs Beloit. Helped hold Beloit and Monmouth to 3 shots apiece over the weekend. Andy Holmes (SID) states she won every 50/50 ball in the middle third of the field. Grinnell is 5-1, 4-0.


For the week of Sept. 10

Offensive


Kim Olsen

Kim Olsen--Monmouth College (Fresh/ FW/ Finlayson, MN/ West Chicago HS) In the first three games of her collegiate career, Olsen has scored three goals in each game, helping Monmouth off to a 3-0 start. The Fighting Scots have beaten Marian College (6-0), Marycrest (7-1), and Blackburn (5-3). Olsen is just three goals shy ALREADY of the Monmouth single-season record.

Defensive


Meghan O'Donnell

Meghan O'Donnell--St Norbert College (Senior/ GK/ Darien, Ill/ Benet Academy) O'Donnell was named the top goalkeeper in the Cardinal Stritch Tournament. In the young 2000 season, O'Donnell has a 2-2 record with a .700 save percentage against the likes of Carleton College, Macalester College--national runners up in 1999--Viterbo and Cardinal Stritch.
