Week #1 : Dec. 2


Shannon Clerkin
Lake Forest

Sophomore forward Shannon Clerkin from Barneveld, Wis., (Barneveld HS) helped Lake Forest to a 3-0 start to the season. Clerkin was named to the Forester Tip-Off All-Tournament team after averaging 11 points and 6.5 rebounds in the team’s two victories over Macalester and Aurora. The sophomore had 14 points in the win over U.of Chicago. In three games, the forward leads the team with 36 points in just 52 minutes. Clerkin is shooting 78.9% from the field, 66.7% from three-point range, 80% from the free throw line, and also leads the squad with 17 rebounds, four blocked shots, and six steals.

Week #2 : Dec. 9


Melissa Jones
Monmouth

Jones, a senior forward from Port Byron, Ill. (East Moline HS) has had many great games in her career, but none better than the win over Rockford. The senior notched her 1000th career point early in the contest and kept scoring all game long, ultimately netting her school-record 36th and 37th points on a 10-foot jumper at the buzzer to give Monmouth a thrilling 70-69 victory. Jones added a career-best 18 rebounds in the contest. The forward then posted team-highs in points (14), rebounds (7), and steals (3) in the Scots’ MWC opener over Knox. For the week, Jones averaged 25.5. points, 12.5 rebounds, and 2.5 steals. Jones also shot 59 percent from the field.

Week #3 : Dec. 16

Angie Bossingham
Illinois C.


Bossingham, a junior point guard from Lincoln, Ill. (Lincoln HS), keyed the Illinois C. women to their first win of the season by scoring 16 points in an 81-69 win over Knox. The junior was four of seven from the field, including three of four from 3-point range, and five of eight from the stripe. Bossingham also had a pair of assists and a steal in the victory. In the win over Westminster, Bossingham scored 11 points and had a game-high six assists. The point guard also had six rebounds.

Week #4 : Jan. 6


Melissa Jones
Monmouth

Jones, a senior forward from Port Byron, Ill. (East Moline HS) was the only Monmouth player in double figures during a 1-1 stretch in Tennessee, and also led the team in rebounds in both games. The senior forward's top effort was a 31-point performance against Virginia Intermount. For the two games, Jones posted averages of 24.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks, while shooting 21-of-37 from the field.


Corey Grosskopf
Carroll

Grosskopf, a senior forward from Larsen, Wis., (Fox Valley Lutheran HS) scored 21 points in a win over the host in the opening round of the Edgewood Tournament, then scored a game-high 23 points in a loss to UW-Oshkosh in the championship game. Grosskopf's effort earned her all-tournament honors as she averaged 22.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 blocks and .5 assists in the two games.

Week #5 : Jan. 13


Karin Kedrowski
Ripon

Kedrowski, a senior guard from Plover, Wis., (Pacelli HS) led the Red Hawks to a 2-0 record last week in league play scoring 23 and 21 points over St. Norbert and Lawrence respectively. Kedrowski shot 17-of-26 from the field and was a perfect on all five of her three-point shots while adding seven steals.

Adrienne Dickerson
Illinois C.

Dickerson, a senior guard/forward from Carthage, Ill., (Carthage HS) scored her 1,000th career point in a loss to Lake Forest last week. In that game, Dickerson scored 20 points, grabbed four rebounds and handed out three assists. Two nights earlier, Dickerson scored 17 points in a victory over MacMurray and then capped the week with a season-best 28 points in a win over Grinnell. For the week the IC senior averaged 21.6 points per game, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.3 assists.

Week #6 : Jan. 20

Amanda Guay
Ripon

Guay, a sophomore from Marinette, Wis. (Marinette Catholic HS), led the Red Hawks to a perfect 3-0 week with wins over Carroll, Grinnell, and Knox. Ripon remained perfect in the conference at 6-0. The sophomore tallied 31 points during the week on 12-of-19 shooting from the field, and 7-of-7 shooting from the free-throw line. Guay also averaged 3.0 rebounds per contest.

Week #7 : Jan. 27


Katie McCants
Lake Forest

McCants, a senior from Menasha, Wis., (Menasha HS) led Lake Forest to three MWC victories last week and a share of first place in the league standings. On Tuesday, McCants led all players with 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists in a victory over Knox. Friday, McCants had 5 rebounds and 19 points, including the 1,000th of her career in a win over Beloit. In Saturday’s triumph over Ripon, McCants had 14 points, 11 rebounds, and a pair of steals. For the three-game stretch McCants averaged 17.0 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.3 steals while shooting 58.8% from the field (20/34), 66.7% from the three-point line (2/3) and 81.8% from the free-throw line (9/11).

Week #8 : Feb. 3

Stacy Ritter
St. Norbert

Ritter, a senior guard from De Pere, Wis., led fueled St. Norbert’s two wins against Lake Forest and Knox. The senior put up 23 points with with four rebounds in just 28 minutes against the Foresters, with eight points coming in the overtime. With a 71-68 lead inside a minute, Ritter stole a pass and hit a layup to seal the win. The guard then added seven points and four rebounds in limited action in the win over Knox.

Week #9 : Feb. 10


Karin Kedrowski
Ripon

Kedrowski, a senior guard from Plover, Wis., (Pacelli HS), led Ripon to a 2-1 week. Ripon improved to 17-3, 11-2 in the MWC. The senior recorded 25 points and 8 steals in a loss to Lawrence, then added 23 and 19 points in victories over Knox and Grinell, respectively. For the week, Kedrowski averaged 22.3 points per game.

Week #10 : Feb. 17


Shannon Clerkin
Lake Forest

Clerkin, a sophomore forward from Barneveld, Wis., (Barneveld HS) led Lake Forest to a pair of MWC victories this past week. In a victory over Illinois C., the forward scored a game-high 18 points, pulled down a team-high nine rebounds, and blocked two shots. In the win over Grinnell, the sophomore led the Foresters with 16 points and all players with nine rebounds. For the week, Clerkin shot 54.2% from the field and 72.7% from the free-throw line.

Week #11 : Feb. 24


Molly Kneip
Ripon

Kneip, a senior guard from Appleton, Wis., (East HS) scored 24 points to lead the Red Hawks to a victory over Carroll. The senior was 10-of-14 from the field, including 2-of-3 from three-point range, and 2-of-3 from the free-throw line. Kneip also added two rebounds, six assists, and five steals in the win.

Claire Getzoff
Lawrence

Getzoff, a freshman from Evanson, Ill., (Evanston HS) led Lawrence to a 1-1 record on the week and broke the school’s single-season scoring record in the process. The freshman now has 381 points on the season. Getzoff scored 10 points in the win over Beloit to break the record, and added three rebounds, one assist, and five steals. In a loss to St. Norbert, Getzoff scored 13 points, grabbed six rebounds, had one assist, and recorded four steals.
