Findeisen

Forest

Findeisen,
a junior pitcher from Beecher, Illinois, has probably been the Foresters'
biggest contributer as the team started the season 8-3. She has posted a
4-1 record and 1.06 earnedrun average in five starts, striking out 20 batters
while walking six in 33 innings of work. She shut out each of her last two
opponents and is working on a streak of 16 scoreless innings. Findeisen,
a switch hitter, is helping herself at the plate with a .389 batting average
(7-for-18) which includes a double, three runs scored, and one batted in. |

Dani
Meehan, a freshman pitcher from Janesville, WI/Parker HS put in a yeoman's
effort in winning this week's Midwest Conference Performer of the Week.
Meehan went 4-0 on the mound as the Bucs improved to 7-7 this season by
sweeping a pair of non-conference twinbills against Judson College and Concordia
University of Wisconsin as Beloit won 5-3, 2-1, 2-0 and 5-1. Her four-game
totals read: 28 innings pitched, five earned runs and 25 strikeouts, nine
of the strikeouts were in the first game vs. Judson. |

going

the
weekend.

the
sophomore
gave

batters.
For
the
season,
Reynolds
now
has
110
strikeouts
and
is
Grinnell’s
career
leader
in
strikeouts
with
265.

Slater
Lake
Forest

Slater,
a
senior
from
Granite
City,
Ill.
(Granite
City
HS),
helped
Lake
Forest
to
a
5-1
week,
batting
.579
(11-for-19)
in
the
six
games
with
five
doubles
and
a
home
run
(1.000
slugging
percentage).
Slater
also
scored
four
runs
and
drove
in
seven.
The
senior
became
the
school’s
all-time
leader
in
doubles
(33)
and
took
over
sole
possession
of
first
place
in
the
school
record
books
with
her
11th
career
homer. |

Burris
Lawrence

Burris,
a
junior
shortstop
from
Gurnee,
Ill.
(Warren
HS),
led
Lawrence
to
a
7-1
record
on
the
week
and
its
second
consecutive
North
Division
title.
For
the
week,
the
junior
batted
.577
(15-for-26)
with
four
doubles,
one
home
run,
and
10
runs
batted
in.
Burris
had
a
,846
slugging
percentage
and
was
3-for-3
on
stolen
base
