STRINZ TO LEAVE BELOIT FOR NEW POSITION

Beloit, WI – Jami Strinz, Head Volleyball and Softball coach at Beloit College, has submitted her resignation effective at the end of May to accept a position as the Head Softball Coach and Assistant Volleyball Coach at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois.  In addition, Strinz will have the opportunity to pursue her Masters degree.

“This was a tough decision,” said Strinz.  “I’ve really enjoyed the relationships I’ve made with my teams as well as the staff of the Athletic Department and Beloit College as a whole.  But the opportunity that presents itself at Knox was something I didn’t feel I could pass up at this point in my life.”

Strinz is in her second season with the Softball squad after completing her first season as head coach of Volleyball last Fall.  She served as the Volleyball team’s assistant coach in her first year.

In Volleyball, she led the squad to the MWC regular season and tournament Championships last Fall and its first-ever berth in the NCAA Division III Volleyball Tournament.  In Softball, the Bucs are 21-24 during her one-plus years with a month remaining in the 2007 season.

A search for her successor in both sports will begin immediately.
