Emily Davis, Beloit
Davis, a senior from Wooster, Ohio (Waynedale HS), has led Beloit to a seven-game winning streak and an MWC-best 9-3 record so far this season. Davis is hitting .486 (18-for-37) with two home runs, two triples, 10 runs scored and 15 driven in. She currently maintains a slugging percentage of .757 and an on-base percentage of .553. The shortstop has also posted a .958 fielding percentage. |

Heather Burrows, Monmouth
Burrows, a senior from Lewistown, Ill. (Lewistown HS), led Monmouth to a 5-1 record for the week with her hitting, pitching, and fielding. Burrows batted .381 with two doubles, a triple, four runs scored, and five batted in. She also posted a 2-0 record and 2.06 earned run average in three starts at pitcher and did not commit an error in three-plus games at shortstop. |

Leigh Anne Furgerson, Lake Forest
Furgerson, a senior from Carmel, Ind. (Westfield HS), helped Lake Forest to a perfect 6-0 week as the team moved into first place in the MWC South Division standings. Furgerson posted a 3-0 record and a 0.74 ERA over the last seven days. She struck out 16 batters and walked two in 19 innings while holding opposing hitters to a .106 batting average (7-for-66). Furgerson began the week on Tuesday with a no-hitter against Benedictine and finished it on Saturday with a one-hit shutout at Monmouth in which she allowed just one baserunner. |

| Week 4: April 19, 2004 |

Andrea Leystra, St. Norbert
Leystra, a senior pitcher from Mayville, Wisconsin (Mayville HS) earned all four of St. Norbert’s victories last week. Leystra began with three-hit shutouts against UW-Stevens Point and Lake Forest. She also allowed just three base hits in a triumph over Monmouth and a win over Knox before falling in nine innings to Illinois C. For the week, Leystra was 4-1 with two shutouts, four three-hitters, and a 0.96 earned run average. In 36.1 innings pitched, she allowed just five runs and held her opponents to a .171 batting average. |

| Week 5: April 26, 2004 |

Jenny Burris, Lawrence
Burris, a senior shortstop from Gurnee, Ill. (Warren Township), hit .727 on the week to lead Lawrence to a 4-0 record and a berth in the Midwest Conference Championship Tournament. Burris went 8-for-11 during the week with four runs scored, a triple, two home runs, and three runs batted in. She also posted a 1.455 slugging percentage and .769 on-base percentage. Burris was 3-for-4 with a game-winning home run in Lawrence’s game one victory over Carroll on Thursday and 1-for-1 with a solo homer in game two. She was also 1-for-3 and 2-for-3 in the Vikings’ doubleheader sweep of Beloit on Saturday. |
