Week #1: April 2

Bridget
Griesbach
Ripon
Griesbach, a first-year pitcher/third basemen from Hortonville, Wis.,
(Hortonville H.S.) batted .439 in 12 starts this season. She finished
with four home runs during Ripon's eight-game spring trip to Florida,
including three home runs in the final two games. She currently has
11 RBI, a triple, a double and 18 total hits to her credit. She also
has a 3-3 record on the mound for the Red Hawks with a 3.59 ERA in seven
appearances and five starts.

Illinois C.
A first-year outfielder from Taylorville, Ill., (Taylorville H.S.)
Brown is batting a team-best .538 through 13 games. She has a double,
a homer, eight RBI and a team-high 16 runs scored. She has a .641 slugging
percentage and a .561 on-base percentage. Brown, who has swiped nine
bases in ten attempts, has already recorded four assists from the outfield.

Week #2: April 9

Klamann
Carroll
A junior catcher from South Milwaukee, Wis., (South Milwaukee H.S.)
helped lead Carroll to four conference wins on the week (two wins over
Ripon College and two wins over St. Norbert College) to start the season
at 4-0 in conference play. In the four games, Klamann had six hits in
11 at bats (.545 average) that included 2 doubles and 2 walks. She scored
3 runs and also had 3 RBI. Defensively she compiled 15 put outs and
5 assists. For the season, Klamann is hitting .400. Carroll improves
to 7-7, 4-0 in the Midwest Conference.

Dour
Illinois C.
A sophomore pitcher Beardstown, Ill., Dour improved her record to 5-3
with a seven-inning, 4-2 victory over Millikin, which entered the contest
at 14-7. Dour allowed six hits, struck out six and issued two walks
in going the distance. Dour is a newcomer to this squad this spring
but has quickly settled in as the team's number one pitcher.

Week #3: April 16

Immel
St. Norbert
A sophomore outfielder from Eden, Wis., (Campbellsport H.S.) Immel
batted a torrid .727 with 8 hits in 11 at bats, scored four runs, stroked
three doubles and drove in four runs. Her slugging percentage was 1.000.

Anne Furgerson
Lake Forest
A first-year pitcher from Carmel, Ind. (Westfield H.S.) Furgerson posted
a 2-0 record with a save while not allowing an earned run in 21 innings.
She pitched six scoreless innings, allowing two hits, striking out three
and walking none in game one over Grinnell and then pitched five scoreless
innings of relief in the second game. Against Knox Furgerson fired a
complete-game five-hitter and again came on in relief in the nightcap,
pitching three scoreless innings in an 11-4 win.

Week #4 - April 23

Burris
Lawrence
The first-year shortstop from Gurnee, Ill,.(Warren Township H.S.)
led the Lawrence softball team to a 5-2 record over the past week. The
hard-hitting Burris batted .391 with eight runs batted in from her lead-off
position. In a doubleheader sweep of Ripon, Burris was 3-for-8 with
four runs scored and three RBIs. At the Midwest Conference Classic over
the weekend, Burris batted .400 with two doubles, five RBIs and four
runs scored. She led Lawrence to a 3-2 mark at the tournament and drove
in the only two runs of a 2-0 win over Grinnell with a double in the
seventh inning.

Witmer
Monmouth
A junior outfielder from Polo, Ill., (Polo H.S.) Witmer turned in a
stellar offensive performance at the Midwest Conference Classic. Witmer
batted .500 (8-for-16) over the five games with six runs scored, five
runs batted in, a double, two triples and two homers. She had an impressive
1.188 slugging percentage for the weekend. Witmer became the first Monmouth
player to hit for the cycle, going 4-for-4 in a 7-6 loss to Ripon. Witmer
also homered against St. Norbert and had a bases-loaded triple in a
win over Beloit.

Week #5 - April 30

Becca
Peglow
Lawrence
The senior catcher from Minnetrista, Minn,.(Mound-Westonka H.S.) led
the Vikings to a 3-1 record this past week, including a sweep of Beloit
College. Peglow batted .462 with a pair of doubles and four runs batted
in. Peglow drove in the only run in a 1-0 win over St. Norbert College
last Wednesday. She also threw out St. Norbert speedster Kristin Janssen,
only the second time she has been caught stealing in 13 attempts this
season. Peglow went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBIs in Lawrence's
12-2 win in the opener against Beloit. In the nightcap, Peglow was 2-for-4
with a RBI.

Reifenberg
Lake Forest
A junior catcher from Skokie, Ill., (Niles West H.S.) Reifenberg played
in four games last week for the Foresters and batted .533 (8-for-15)
with four home runs and nine RBI. She also had six runs scored and two
doubles. All of that added up to a 1.467 slugging percentage for the
week. She was also perfect in the field, recording a 1.000 fielding
percentage for the week. Her biggest biggest hit was a three-run home
run to tie the first Monmouth game at 5-5. Lake Forest went on to win
8-5, and Reifenberg added a solo shot in the seventh inning.
