MADISON, Wis. – Grinnell, Monmouth, and Carroll each picked up individual titles on the second day of the 2014 Midwest Conference Men’s Tennis Championships at Madison, Wis. Grinnell, who earned a team championship on Friday, won a title in the No. 4, 5, and 6 flights while Monmouth took home gold in the No. 2 and 3 flights. Carroll rounded out the champions with singles victories in the No.1 flight.

No. 1 – Jack Michael (Carroll) def. Elliot Czarnecki (Grinnell) 6-2, 6-3
No. 2 – David Johnson (Monmouth) def. Emilio Gomez (Grinnell), 6-2, 6-4
No. 3 – Davis Stewart (Monmouth) def. Cole Miller (Grinnell), 6-1, 3-6, 7-6 (3)
No. 4 – Pitcher (Grinnell) def. John Snider (Lake Forest), 6-7 (6), 6-2, 7-5
No. 5 – Colin Johnson (Grinnell) def. Marco Franco (Monmouth), 6-2, 6-1
No. 6 – C.J. Ray (Grinnell) def. Jerry Wang (Lake Forest), 6-0, 6-0
The 2014 MWC Men’s Tennis Tournament will conclude tomorrow when three doubles champions will be crowned at the Nielsen Tennis Center in Madison, Wis. The first matches will begin at 8:00 a.m.
