MOUNT VERNON, Iowa – Monmouth continued its impressive championship streak by winning both the men’s and the women’s side of the 2014 Midwest Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships which were held in Mount Vernon, Iowa.

On the women’s side Monmouth racked up 168 points and was 55.50 points better than runner-up St. Norbert. Carroll ended the women’s meet in third place with 99 points. The championship was the 13th straight for the Fighting Scot women and 18th overall.

The Monmouth men won its 15th straight championship, 21st overall, with 198 points. St. Norbert was the second place finisher with 135 points and Grinnell rounded out the top three with 86 points.
Ofuma Eze-Echesi was the only participant to break a record on the second day as she ran the 60-dash in 7.78 seconds.
