Performer of the Week Spotlight: Patrick Maher, Grinnell

In the 2013-14 season the Midwest Conference (MWC) will unveil a weekly feature that highlights the conference's Performers of the Week throughout the entire year. This will be a weekly feature where Performers of the Week will do a live video interview on the MWC website where they will discuss their award winning week and answer questions about their season.

This week Grinnell men's basketball player Patrick Maher is our guest. Maher made national headlines when he shattered the NCAA record, regardless of level, for assists in a game when he dished out 37 against College of Faith (Ark.) last Monday. That broke the previous NCAA mark of 34 established in 2007 by former Pioneer and current Grinnell associate head coach David N. Arseneault ’09. Maher finished the game with a double-double as he scored 19 points. For the week, he averaged 15.3 points and 17.3 assists per game.
