Carroll (13-5, 8-1 MWC) is in search of its fourth straight MWC Tournament Championship after rolling through the regular season and claiming their fifth regular season championship. Head Coach Courtney Fryatt boasts a talent rich squad that scored a league-high 53 goals during the regular season while surrendering only 18 goals. Senior Cody Callender leads Carroll, and the league, with 37 points (17 goals, 3 assists) while becoming the all-time leading goal scorer in the MWC with 69 goals. Senior Kendell Uttech (11 goals, 5 assists), sophomore Amanda Leach (5 goals, 5 assists) and senior Kelly Blenner (3 goals, 5 assists) round out the double figure point scorers for the Pioneers. Freshman Taylor Mclean has been in net for all 18 games and supports a 1.01 goals against average, best among all goalkeepers.

T.R. Bell leads Lake Forest (11-7, 7-2 MWC) to the MWC Tournament for the eighth straight year and looks to get back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2003. Lake Forest boasts two of the league leaders in points in sophomores Becky Esrock (13 goals, 6 assists) and Lisa Sorensen (10 goals, 8 assists). Sorensen and senior Bianca Greene (4 goals, 8 assists) are tied for the MWC lead in assists and senior Emily Weber (3 goals, 6 assists) and also reached double figures in points. Sophomore backstop Bri Schleibinger has recorded three shutouts this season, owns a 1.50 goals against average, and has surrendered only 10 goals in conference play.

Lawrence (7-8-1, 6-2-1 MWC) enters the tournament looking for its third MWC Tournament title and the first since recording back-to-back tournament championships in 2000 and 2001. Junior Mallory Koula leads the Vikings with 32 points and finished the season with 14 goals, both good for second in the conference. Senior Sarah Ehlinger provides another scoring punch for Lawrence as she recorded 28 points during the regular season, good for fifth in the MWC, and joined Koula as one of only eight players to record double figure goals, with 10. Sophomore keeper Cassandra Burke finished fifth in the league this season with a 1.51 goals against average and recorded four shutouts in 13 games played.

The Fighting Scots will be making only their second appearance in the MWC Tournament in the program’s 17-year history. Monmouth (10-5-3, 6-2-1 MWC) qualified in 2005 under head coach Barry McNamara when they faced a familiar opponent – Carroll – in the opening round. The Fighting Scots have three players that recorded double figure points during the regular season, each of which scored seven goals, that include sophomore Kerry Kost (20 points), junior Molly Ball (14 points) and junior Niki Sue Williams (14 points). Between the three players they have accounted for eight game winning goals, four off the foot of Kost. Freshman Samantha Barranco has been one of the top keepers in the conference this year as she posted a 1.21 goals against average and a conference high eight shutouts.
