Tom Becker, Ripon
Becker, a senior from Delavan, Wis., scored two goals (four points) in the Red Hawks 6-2 loss to Lakeland. The forward/midfielder scored both goals in the second half cutting the Red Hawk deficit to just two goals each time. |

Jeff Wallace, St. Norbert
Wallace, a junior defender from Greenwood Village, Col., had two shots on goal and played some staunch defense in Grinnell’s 1-0 shutout win over Cornell. |

| Week #2: September 13 |

Rodrigo Gomes, Lawrence
Gomes, a sophomore from Buenos Aires, Argentina (Villa Devoto HS), provided the Lawrence offense in a win over St. Olaf on Sunday. Gomes scored both goals to lead the Vikings to their first victory of the season. Gomes’ two second-half goals overcame a 1-0 St. Olaf lead. |

Alex Lofgren, Lake Forest
Lofgren, a junior sweeper from Glenview, Ill. (Glenbrook South), contributed at both ends of the field as Lake Forest defeated Knox 2-1 and Ripon 2-0 over the weekend. On Saturday at Knox, Lofgren assisted on the Foresters’ second goal and helded limit Knox to just four shots in the entire game. The following afternoon against Ripon, he headed in a corner kick for the game’s first goal, assisted on the second, and helped shut out the Red Hawks, who had scored seven times in their first three contests. |

| Week #3: September 20 |

Peter Bernardy, St. Norbert
Bernardy, a junior midfielder from Green Bay, Wis. (East), scored two goals and two assists this past week as St. Norbert improved to 6-0 on the year. Bernardy registered two assists in St. Norbert’s win over perennial NCAA Division III power UW-Oshkosh, then scored two goals in a win over Lakeland. Bernardy currently leads the Green Knights in scoring with seven points. |

Kevin Boltz, Illinois C.
Boltz, a sophomore goalkeeper from Earlville Ill. (Earlville H.S.), stopped 11 Knox shots Sunday as the Blueboys opened Midwest Conference play with a victory over the Prairie Fire. |

| Week #4: September 27 |

Walter Echeverry, Lake Forest
Echeverry, a sophomore from Glenview, Ill. (Maine Township East), helped Lake Forest to a 2-0-1 record in the last seven days. He started the week by scoring the first goal and assisting on the game-winner in the Foresters’ overtime victory at M.S.O.E. on Wednesday. On Saturday, with just 3:46 remaining in regulation, he scored the game-winner in a triumph at Grinnell. Finally, on Sunday, he assisted on the game’s first goal and again on the team’s third in a tie at home against Beloit. |

Matt Wolin, Lawrence
Wolin, a junior goalkeeper from Highland Park, Ill. (Highland Park), picked up his first collegiate shutout in Lawrence’s victory over Edgewood. Wolin made three saves to earn his second victory of the season. For the week, Wolin had a 1.31 goals against average and .826 save percentage. He totaled 19 saves in the three games. |

| Week #5: October 4 |

Tommy Becker, Ripon
Becker, a senior forward from Delavan, Wis., helped Ripon to three straight victories over Monmouth, Illinois C., and Marian tallying seven goals and one assist for a total of 15 points. Becker’s totals included a six-goal outburst against Monmouth.For the season, Becker leads the team with 15 goals, seven assists and 37 points. |

Matt Wolin, Lawrence
Wolin, a junior goalkeeper from Highland Park, Ill. (Highland Park), posted a pair of shutouts this past weekend to help Lawrence sweep road games at Knox and Grinnell. Wolin made fives saves in a win at Knox on Saturday and made three saves in a win at Grinnell on Sunday. Wolin now has three consecutive shutouts and increased his shutout streak to 236 minutes, 10 seconds. Wolin lowered his goals against average to 1.33 and increased his save percentage to .811 on the season. |

| Week #6: October 11 |

Andrew Prewett, Monmouth
Prewett, a junior midfielder from Cardiff, Wales, led the Fighting Scots to their first MWC win of the season with a strong performance Saturday against Illinois C. Prewett opened the scoring in the game’s 12th minute, and he gave the Scots an extra cushion with an assist nine minutes later for a 2-0 lead. Prewett sealed the victory with his second goal of the game in the 65th minute. |

Alexander Tucker, Grinnell
Tucker, a senior goalkeeper from Newton, Mass. (Newton South HS), had 13 saves in Grinnell’s loss to Aurora. For the season he has 74 saves and has started all 10 games. |

| Week #7: October 18 |

Michael Findley, Beloit
Findley, a sophomore from Madison, Wis. (West HS), scored four goals and added one assist as the Bucs kept their chances for a postseason tournament appearance very much alive in three MWC victories last week. Findley scored three goals against Illinois C. on Saturday in a 6-1 triumph and then added a goal and an assist on Sunday in a 3-0 blanking of Monmouth. For the season, he had netted 12 goals and has three assists. |

| Week #8: October 25 |

Ryan Pikna, Lawrence
Pikna, a freshman midfielder from Wauwatosa, Wis. (West), scored three goals this past weekend, as Lawrence swept a pair of Midwest Conference matches. Pikna scored in the 22nd minute and again in the 87th minute in Lawrence’s win over Monmouth on Saturday. His first goal of the day proved to be the game-winner. He came up with a clutch goal on Sunday in Lawrence’s 1-0 win over Illinois C. Pikna scored the lone tally of the contest in the 83rd minute to lift the Vikings to a victory critical to their MWC Tournament hopes. With the two wins, Lawrence moves into a tie for fourth place in the league with Beloit. |

| Week #9: November 1 |

Lisandro Lopez del Valle , Lawrence
Lopez del Valle, a sophomore midfielder from Buenos Aires, Argentina (Luisa Huergo), scored the biggest goal of his Lawrence career on Saturday vs. Beloit. Lopez del Valle got the only goal of the game for the Vikings in a tie with Beloit that sent both teams into the Midwest Conference Tournament this week. Lopez del Valle played a ball that deflected off a Beloit defender and then beat the goalkeeper to the ball. He lofted it over the keeper and it found the net in the 44th minute to give Lawrence the lead. It was his second goal of the season. |
