Hampson,
a forward from Carbondale, Ill. (Carbondale
HS), scored the game's second goal in
a key 2-0 win over Knox Saturday. The
junior, who was injured on the play, took
a cross and drilled it perfectly into
the upper corner.

Mark Allen
Monmouth
|
Allen,
a sophomore from Milan, Ill., directed the
Monmouth defense to a 2-0 win over Knox
last Saturday. The center midfielder turned
sweeper this season helped the Scots allow
just eight shots against the Prairie Fire,
and record their sixth win in seven contests.

Carroll
|
Matson, a first-year
midfielder from Edelstein, Ill., helped Carroll finish
second in MWC regular-season play. The midfielder scored
the game-winning goal in the win over Beloit and also
assisted on the Pioneer's second goal of the game.

Perry,
a first-year goalkeeper from Shawnee Mission, Kan., allowed
only one goal in the Vikings' upset over Lake Forest.
The goalkeeper faced 11 shots and recorded five saves
to preserve the win. |

Grinnell
|
Isserman, a senior from
Morgantown, WV, came off the bench to
lead the Pioneers to two MWC victories
over the weekend. He scored the first
goal in Saturday's 2-0 win over Carroll.
Sunday, he scored Grinnell's first goal
to tie the game and assisted on the
game-winner in a 2-1 victory over Ripon.

Grinnell
|
Whitcomb,
a junior goalkeeper from Elm Grove, Wis.,
played a key role in the Pioneer's resurgence
in the league standings this weekend.
Whitcomb had a combined 11 saves in both
MWC victories while allowing just one
goal to defending MWC Champion Ripon and
shutting-out Carroll. |

Schlegel, a senior forward
from St. Charles, Ill. (Central HS),
netted both game-winning goals in the
victories over Beloit and Lake Forest.
Both games were overtime wins. The Fighting
Scots had never beaten the Bucs or Foresters
previously.

a senior goalkeeper from Alton, Ill. (Alton
HS), led the Fighting Scots in two key
victories. The senior turned away 13 shots
in the win over Beloit, and nine in the
win over Lake Forest. |

from Manotick, Canada (Brewster Academy),
scored his first three goals of his
career in the Foresters' win over Grinnell.
Thom's first goal came in the 36th minute.

Perlberg,
a junior goalkeeper from Rhinelander,
Wis., made 14 saves and surrendered only
three goals last week. The junior's solid
play led the Bucs to a 5-1 win over Knox. |

|
Becker, a senior from
Menomonee Falls, Wis., scored three
goals in two MWC victories last weekend.
Becker's first goal came in the Green
Knights' win over Knox. With Grinnell
leading St. Norbert 3-1 the next day,
Becker scored goals in the 74th and
87th minutes to send the game into overtime
where his team captured the win over
the Pioneers.

Messer,
a first-year goalkeeper from Sheboygan,
Wis., recorded 15 saves last weekend in
the Red Hawks victories over Monmouth
and Illinois C. The goalkeeper logged
ten saves against Monmouth and five against
the Blueboys. Messer's shutout versus
IC is his second of the conference season.

Lake Forest
|
Chris Mickschl, a senior
forward from Glendale, Wis., scored
two goals and added two assists in two
Lake Forest victories this week. On
Wednesday, Mickschl keyed the Foresters
come-from-behind 2-3 win over North
Central College with two goals, including
the game-winner in the 70th minute.
In Saturday’s MWC opener, Chris set
up both the team’s goals in the two
to one defeat of Knox College.
