Week 1: March 29, 2004
Chad Scott, Monmouth
Scott, a senior from Pontiac Ill. (Pontiac HS), shot the best round of the day with an even-par 72 Saturday and finished eighth at Knox College’s Prairie Fire Classic. His two-round total was 149. More importantly, Scott keyed the Fighting Scots to a second-place finish at the 13-team meet.
 
Week 2: April 5, 2004
Mack Foster, Knox
Foster, a senior from Oneida, Ill. (ROWVA H.S.), tied for ninth place among 100 golfers at the Augustana College Invitational and was the top Midwest Conference golfer at the event. Foster shot equal round 73s and finished two over par.
 
Week 3: April 12, 2004
Frank Pigulski, Illinois C.
Pigulski, a freshman from Pasco, Wash., led the Blueboys to a fourth-place finish at the 9th Annual John McNaughton Memorial Golf Classic in Jacksonville. Pigulski shot an 80 and wound up tied for 15th overall out of 49 entries.
 
Week 4: April 19, 2004
Chad Scott, Monmouth
Scott, a senior from Pontiac, Ill. (HS), had an impressive effort Saturday (April 17) at the 12-team Monmouth Invitational. Scott’s one-under par 70 at Gibson Woods earned him runner-up honors in the field, and his total helped the host team finish third. Scott carded a six-under 29 on the front nine en route to his second-place finish.
 
Week 5: April 26, 2004
Andy Link, Lawrence
Link, a sophomore from Rochester, Minn. (Century H.S.), carded rounds of 72, 76 and 75 on two courses April 19-20 and finished with an 11-over 223 at the Gustavus Adophus Spring Invitational. The field included a number of elite men’s golf teams from the Midwest Region. Link finished seventh overall and helped his team finish seventh among the 14 teams.
 
Week 6: May 3, 2004
Jake Brunette, Knox
Brunette, a senior from Neillsville, Wis. (Neillsville HS), shot 74-75 to win the MWC South Division by three strokes over teammate Ryan Meier. Brunette held a one stroke lead after Saturday’s round at Gibson Woods golf course in Monmouth and was able to hold on Sunday at the Grinnell Country Club. This marks the first victory of Brunette’s collegiate career bringing his season scoring average to 76.1 strokes per round and 75.9 for the spring. He has shot 15 consecutive rounds and 16 of his 17 rounds for the year at 79 strokes or better. His effort helped Knox College fire 302 - 306 = 608 and win its 9th straight South Division title by ten strokes.
