Week 2: April 4, 2005
Mack Foster, Knox
Foster, a junior from Oneida, Ill. (ROWVA HS), finished in a tie for 13th place at the Loras Invitational with a two-day total of 150 (73+77). He was the highest conference finisher in the invitational and helped Knox to a 15th place finish.
 
Week 3: April 11, 2005
Joe Loehnis, Lawrence
Loehnis, a junior from Appleton, Wis. (North HS), finished in a tie for 15th place at the Wartburg College Invitational this past weekend. Loehnis carded a 3-over par round of 75 at Centennial Oaks Golf Club in the opening round and then shot a 2-over par 72 at Waverly Municipal Golf Course in the second round for a 36-hole total of 147, seven shots off the winning total. Led by Loehnis’ effort, Lawrence finished seventh in the 20-team tournament.
 
Week 4: April 18, 2005
Jeff Denny, Monmouth
Denny, a sophomore from Atlanta, Ill. (Olympia HS), put together two solid rounds of golf in 18-hole events on Thursday and Saturday. At Soangetaha Country Club on Thursday, he fired a one-over-par 73 to place second in an event featuring 11 teams. On his home course Saturday, Denny placed seventh individually with a 75 in an invitational that had competitors from 15 teams.
 
Week 5: April 25, 2005
Ryan Meier, Knox
Meier, a sophomore from Normal, Ill. (University High School), helped Knox to a third place finish at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday with a final round score of 603. Meier won the invitational by winning a three-hole playoff and shooting a 5-under par 139 (72+67).
 
Week 6: May 2, 2005
Brad Townsend, Carroll
Townsend, a native of Traverse City, Mich. (Benzie Central), became the 2nd golfer in Carroll College men’s golf history to win the Midwest Conference North Division Series medalist honors. Townsend began the weekend four-shots behind Beloit’s Jay King in the five-tournament series but shot consecutive rounds of 76 in the bitter cold of the Lawrence University Invitational and St. Norbert College Invitational to claim the individual title. As a team, Carroll narrowly missed finishing atop the North Division as well.
