D.J. Jackson - Illinois College - Junior
St. Louis, Mo./Webster Groves
At Friday’s Rose-Hulman Invitational, Jackson helped the Illinois College men finish first in a field of six teams. The junior sprinter won the 55-meter dash in 6.52 and the 200-meter dash in 22.60. He also anchored the winning 4x200 relay team (1:31.88). His 55-meter dash time broke the meet record of 6.56 set in 1996 and the 4x200 time established a new fieldhouse record. |

Ashley Graybill - St. Norbert College - Junior
Delafield, Wis./Kettle Moraine
Graybill helped the Green Knight women finish fourth out of 14 teams at Saturday’s Wisconsin Private School Championships with four top 5 finishes. The senior set a school record in the 200-meter dash with a first place time of 26.79. She also ran legs on the winning 4x200 relay and the winning Distance Medley relay teams. In her fourth race of the day, she ran a leg on the 4x400 relay that took fifth.

Zach Wilson - Monmouth College - Senior
Lacon, Ill./Midland
Wilson came charging out of the gate for the 2008 indoor season, throwing a pair of NCAA National Championship provisional qualifying marks in the first meet of the year. Wilson bested the provisional qualifying marks in the weight throw (59’02.25) and shot put (51’02.75). Both marks were good for first place in their respective events. |

Jessica White - Monmouth College - Senior
Galesburg, Ill./Galesburg
White, an indoor and outdoor All-American in the pole vault a year ago, picked up where she left off by winning the event in her first meet of the season. White’s height of 11’10.00 bested her closest competitor by more than two feet, provisionally qualified her for the NCAA National Championships and helped the Fighting Scot women place first at the Prairie Fire Quad. |

Josh Hurlebaus - Carroll College - Junior
Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead
Hurlebaus played a major role in helping the Carroll men finish fifth among the 20-team field at Saturday’s UW-Whitewater Invitational. Hurlebaus, making his 2008 debut, won the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.48 and finished third in the 55-meter dash with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 6.45. The junior also led off for the winning 4x200 relay team (1:32.17). |

Erin Kelley - Carroll College - Senior
Wales, Wis./Kettle Moraine
Kelley continued her early season success with a pair of first-place finishes at Saturday’s UW-Whitewater Invitational. Kelley won the one-mile run with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 5:01.57 and clocked a 2:18.73 to win the 800-meter run. She also ran the anchor leg on the 4x400 team (4:18.16) that finished fifth. The Lady Pioneers finished third in the 17-team field.

Leeman had a pair of top 5 finishes on Friday at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational, where the Green Knight men finished third as a team. The sophomore placed third in the triple jump with an MWC-best mark of 44’08.00” and his high jump mark of 6’00.00” was good for fourth place at the competition. |

Jenny Babos - Monmouth College - Senior
Leland, Ill./Somonauk
Babos was dominant in winning the weight throw at last weekend’s Monmouth Midwest Invitational. The senior’s NCAA provisional qualifying throw of 51’05.00 was nearly six feet better than her nearest competitor and currently ranks 10th in the nation. Her second place finish in the shot put was a personal-best 40’02.25”. |

Jim Hein - Ripon College - Senior
Ripon, Wis./Ripon
Hein set a new school record in the 800-meter run at Saturday’s Tadd Metzer Invite at Carthage, finishing the race with a time of 1:58.73. Hein’s time topped his own previous record, which he set in 2006, and was the conference’s best time in the event this season. The senior was also a part of Ripon’s third-place distance medley relay team, which recorded a time of 11:10.99. |

Amanda Hammermeister - Beloit College - Senior
Ketchikan, Alaska
Running against a field composed by a majority of NCAA Division I competitors, Hammermeister finished third in the 3,000-meter run at Saturday’s University of Chicago Duals. The senior’s time of 10:50.19 knocked 21 seconds off her career best and ranks second in the MWC this season. |

Richardson broke his own school record in the weight throw event at Saturday’s Illinois Wesleyan Titan Invitational. The senior’s toss of 52’07.25” was good for first-place among a field that featured 15 schools and ranks second in the MWC this season. The Blueboys finished sixth as a team at the event. |

Madeline Steininger - Lawrence University - Sophomore
New Berlin, Wis./Milwaukee Pius XI
Steininger won the high jump event at Saturday’s University of Chicago Duals with a school-record jump of 5’03.00”. The mark broke Vickie Leathers record of 5’02.00” from 1993 and tied Steininger for the top mark in the MWC this season. The sophomore also finished seventh in the long jump with a personal-best mark of 15’09.75” and recorded personal and season bests in the 55-meter hurdles (9.22) and 200-meter dash (28.80), respectively. |

Luke Reschke - Monmouth College - Junior
Geneseo, Ill./Geneseo
Reschke was a part of a pair of conference leading performances at Saturday’s Illinois Wesleyan Keck Invitational. The junior won the 200-meter dash in a personal-best 22.67, good for third in the MWC, and clocked in at 49.46 during a third-place finish in the 400-meter dash. The 400m effort was a national meet provisional qualifier, a personal-best and conference-best time. Reschke also ran a leg on the provisional qualifying 4x400 relay team, who finished third in 3:20.30. |

Graybill continued to rewrite the St. Norbert record books and has now broken at least one school record at each meet this season. The junior was a part of three school records and four top 2 finishes at Friday’s UW Whitewater Classic. Graybill set a new school-record in the 200-meter dash with a second place time of 26.10. She also ran legs on the winning 4x200 and second-place 4x400 relay teams which set school records in both events. She closed the evening by winning the 400-meter dash with an NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 58.23 and placing fifth in the 55-meter dash (7.77). Graybill currently ranks third in the nation in the 400m. |

Peter Sprecher - Monmouth College - Senior
Canton, Ill./Canton
Sprecher (right) and Henkins (left) shared this award nearly a year ago to the date (January 30) under almost the exact same circumstances. The Scots senior pole vaulters automatically qualified for nationals with vaults of 16’07.75” at Saturday’s Illinois Wesleyan Keck Invitational. Henkins won the event on attempts and Sprecher was second as the tandem finished more than one-and-a-half feet ahead of their nearest competitor. They lead the MWC by more than two feet and are ranked second in the nation. |

Tatiana Bulat - Lawrence University - Junior

Bulat finished fourth in the indoor pentathlon at Saturday’s UW-Stevens Point Eastbay Invitational. She finished with 2,167 points, highlighted by a victory in the shot put portion with a throw of 32’00.00”. The junior rounded out the pentathlon performance with a jump of 13’07.75” in the long jump, a 4’02.50 leap in the high jump, a time of 10.41 in the 55-meter hurdles and an effort of 2:54.96 in the 800-meter dash. |

Dann Schneider - St. Norbert College - Freshman

Schneider helped the St. Norbert men place second at Saturday’s UW-Oshkosh Invite. The sophomore won the 200-meter dash (23.06), ran a leg on the winning 4x200 relay team (1:34.07) and contributed to the 4x400 relay team’s second-place finish (3:31.45). He also had the fourth fastest time in the 55-meter dash prelims and added six more points to his day as he placed third overall in the triple jump (43’01.50”). |

Jenny Scherer - St. Norbert College - Sophomore
Delavan, Wis./Delavan-Darien
Scherer continues to be the measuring stick in the MWC for the 3,000- and 5,000-meter runs, as the sophomore holds the top conference times and has yet to lose against collegiate competition this season in the two events. At Saturday’s UW-Oshkosh Invite, she did not participate in the 5K, but did win the 3K by over 40 seconds with a time of 10:35.00. Scherer also placed fourth in the mile at the event with a time of 5:18.60. |

Lake Stevens, Wash./Lake Stevens
Kent set the Knox school record in the weight throw with an effort of 50’05.50” at the Knox Invitational on Saturday. The sophomore’s mark was good for fourth place and bettered the previous school-record of 49’10.00” set by Steven Robertson in 1999. Kent also set a personal-record in the shot put by more than three feet with a mark of 45’05.25”, which was good for a third-place finish. |

Jenny Babos - Monmouth College - Senior

Competing at Saturday’s Nike/Impact Sports meet at UW-Platteville, Babos’s two NCAA provisional qualifying marks placed her third in the shot put and third in the weight throw. The senior heaved the shot put a conference-best 42’00.00”, while her weight throw carried 51’03.50”. |

Luke Reschke - Monmouth College - Junior
Geneseo, Ill./Geneseo
Competing at last weekend’s Wartburg Invitational, Reschke picked up a pair of firsts and provisionally qualified for two events. The junior sprinter won the 400-meters with the nation’s best time of 48.93. He then teamed with Jacob Stott, Brad Gross and Aaron Daverin to win the 4x400 relay in a provisional qualifying time of 3:20.27. The time is the MWC’s top time and ranks 10th nationally. He also ran the MWC’s sixth-best time of 6.68 in the 55-meter prelims. |

Erin Kelley - Carroll College - Senior
Wales, Wis./Kettle Moraine
Kelley looked sharp in her final tune-up before next weekend’s MWC Championships, as the senior won the 800-meter run and 3,000-meter run with times of 2:13.38 and 10:17.15, respectively. Her 800m time gives her an NCAA automatic qualifying berth, while also breaking her old school record. Her time in the 3,000 was less than two seconds shy of the school record. She enters the MWC Championship as the top seed in the 800, one mile and 3,000 meter runs. |

Libertyville, Ill.
Bellmore cleared a career- and conference-best height of 6’04.00” in the high jump at Saturday’s UW-Stevens Point Invitational. The effort placed the freshman third in the event. Bellmore also placed fourth in the triple jump (41’11.25”) and ran the anchor leg on the third-place 4x200 relay team. |
