O’Connell hauled in 10 receptions for 201 yards and one touchdown in St. Norbert’s 31-13 win over NAIA scholarship foe Olivet Nazarene. O’Connell’s afternoon marked the fifth time in St. Norbert history that a 200-plus yard receiving afternoon has been recorded, and he became only the third different Green Knight player to accomplish the feat. O’Connell’s standout performance helped St. Norbert quarterback Cody Craig tie his career mark for passing yards in a game (308). |

Wes Roodhouse - Defensive Back - Knox College
Senior - Macomb, Ill./Macomb
Roodhouse finished second on the Prairie Fire defense in tackles and had a hand in two turnovers during Knox’s 23-0 victory over Eureka. The senior defensive back tallied nine total tackles, including seven solo stops and one tackle-for loss. Roodhouse forced a second quarter fumble that was recovered by the Prairie Fire and led to the offense’s second touchdown of the contest. He also intercepted a pass in the endzone that led to another Prairie Fire score and helped preserve the team’s shutout. |

Andy Pfieffer - Punter - Illinois College
Freshman - Winchester, Ill./Winchester
Pfieffer kept the Millikin offense pinned deep in its own territory throughout most of his first collegiate contest. Pfieffer averaged 36.7 yards per punt in seven attempts, including a long punt of 47 yards. The freshman punter managed to stick four of his kicks inside the Millikin 20. The Blueboys led the contests 14-10 at halftime, but fell 24-20 after a pair of fourth quarter Millikin touchdowns.

Dante Daniels - Running Back - Monmouth College
Senior - Waukegan, Ill./Gurnee-Warren
Daniels turned in one of the top five performances for a running back in Monmouth history, rushing for 205 yards and a school-record four touchdowns as the Fighting Scots opened conference play with a 49-6 victory over Lawrence. Daniels scored on runs of 1, 20, 71 and 37 yards. Only Ron Baker, who rushed for 206 yards or more four times in the mid 1970s, has had a higher single-game rushing total for the Scots. Daniels is the only back in the league to eclipse 100 yards in both of his team’s contests this season. |

Senior - Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha West
Darrin made a pair of key second half defensive plays that directly resulted in two scores for the Red Hawks during Ripon’s 35-27 win over Lake Forest. Darrin increased Ripon’s advantage to 20-7 when he intercepted a Forester pass in the third quarter and returned it 30 yards for a touchdown. The senior defensive end then fell on a fourth quarter fumble in Lake Forest territory that led to a Ripon touchdown six plays later. Darrin finished the game with one solo tackle. |

Bob Forstrom - Kicker/Punter - St. Norbert College
Senior - Quinnesec, Mich./Kingsford
Forstrom was 9-for-9 on extra points and punted three times for a 32.7 yard average in Saturday’s 63-13 win over Grinnell. The senior kicker/punter, who has also seen time at wide receiver this season, pinned one punt inside the Grinnell 20-yard line. On 10 kickoffs, Forstrom averaged 61.8 yards per kick and had four touchbacks to give him seven total on the year. He also completed a 27-yard pass on a fake punt against Grinnell and owns the league’s second longest field goal after booting a 43-yarder in week one. |

Senior - Waukegan, Ill./Gurnee-Warren
Daniels is the Offensive Performer of the Week for the second time in as many weeks after breaking the 200-yard rushing barrier in two consecutive contests. Daniels set a single-game school rushing record with 229 yards on 29 carries in the Fighting Scots 31-0 victory at Beloit on Saturday. The senior running back scored twice in the contest, reaching the end zone on runs of six and 22 yards. Daniels, who leads the MWC in rushing with an average of 178.3 yards per game, shouldered the offensive load after Monmouth’s starting quarterback and top wide receiver went down with injuries. |

O’Malley led the St. Norbert defense in Saturday’s 42-14 win over Lawrence with a game-high 11 tackles, including two tackles-for-loss and a pair of passes defended. Anchored by the senior linebacker, the Green Knights defense ranks in the top half of the conference in nearly every defensive team category. |

Josh Kraemer - Punt Returner/DB - Ripon College
Sophomore - Waukesha, Wis.
Kraemer sparked the Red Hawks special teams during Ripon’s 35-14 road victory over Knox on Saturday. The sophomore safety returned three punts for 102 yards (34.0), including a 56-yard return to the Knox nine-yard line that led to a touchdown two plays later. Kraemer also returned an interception 40 yards, recorded a sack and registered eight tackles in the contest. |

Evan Haffner - Wide Receiver - Monmouth College
Senior - Canton, Ill./Canton
Haffner, who garnered Preseason All-American accolades earlier this year, had the breakout game he had been waiting for in Monmouth’s 38-7 victory over Carroll on Saturday. The senior wide receiver caught 10 balls for 191 yards, including TD receptions of 39 and 54 yards. Haffner’s effort came against a Carroll squad that entered unbeaten in conference play and boasted the 16th ranked defense in NCAA Division III. He passed Nathan Gaskill on Monmouth’s all-time list of career catches in the game and now has 124. |

Brad Fehly - Cornerback - Ripon College
Sophomore - Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago
Fehly stepped in front of a first quarter Illinois College pass and returned the interception 60 yards for a touchdown in the Red Hawk’s 31-21 victory over the Blueboys on Saturday. Fehly’s score put Ripon on top 14-0, as the Red Hawks persevered in battle of unbeaten conference teams.
The junior cornerback defended another pass in the contest and also returned three kickoffs for 40 yards.

Derek Micke - Punt Returner/DB - Lawrence Uni.
Sophomore - Kaukauna, Wis./Kaukauna
Micke had a pair of big punt returns that sparked Lawrence to a 35-point first quarter and an eventual 45-18 win over Grinnell on Saturday. Micke became the first Lawrence player since 2002 to return a punt for a score when he put Lawrence up 14-0 with a 70-yard touchdown return. The sophomore defensive back added a 45-yard punt return to the Grinnell 42-yard line in his only other return of the day, which set up the Vikings final touchdown of the first quarter. On the season, Micke is averaging 21.4 yards on seven punt returns. |

Howard scored two touchdowns and set up Illinois College’s third score during the Blueboys 21-20 triumph over Lawrence at home on Saturday. Howard, who caught eight passes for 77 yards, opened the game’s scoring with a three-yard TD reception. After Lawrence knotted the game at 7-7, Howard took his only kickoff return of the day 56 yards, setting up an Illinois College touchdown two plays later. The senior wide receiver then took a third quarter reverse 34 yards to paydirt, giving him two carries for 40 yards in the contest. Howard is on pace to become the Blueboys all-time leading receiver as early as this weekend. |

Keith Hanson - Cornerback - Lake Forest College
Senior - Fairfax, Va./Vermont Academy
Hanson helped preserve Lake Forest’s 23-0 shutout over Beloit on Saturday with a pair of second half interceptions. The first came at the Forester 17-yard line near the end of the third quarter and the second occurred at the Lake Forest 10 with a minute-and-a-half remaining. Hanson, who registered one tackle and had 36 yards in punt returns, now has three interceptions this season and nine in his last 14 games.

A.J. Phillips - Punt/Kick Returner/RB - St. Norbert
Sophomore - Green Bay, Wis./Ashwaubenon
Phillips posted a career-high 245 all-purpose yards in the Green Knights 42-27 road victory over Knox on Saturday. The sophomore running back returned three kickoffs for 80 yards, including a long return of 44 yards, and also returned two punts for 20 yards. On the offensive side of the ball, he added 67 yards rushing and 78 yards receiving. Phillips, who scored rushing TDs of 15 and three yards against the Prairie Fire, currently rates third in the MWC in all-purpose yardage, with return yardage accounting for 46 percent of his total . |

Pfalzer put together an incredible performance to lead the Pioneers to their first victory of the season, a 35-34 triumph over Knox at home. The senior quarterback capped a 12-play, 65-yard scoring drive with a four-yard touchdown run that made the score 34-34 with 1:07 remaining. Pfalzer, who was 16-29 passing for 200 yards and two scores, ran for 154 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries. Pfalzer’s first score of the game came on a nine-yard run, while wide receiver Kyle Perry hauled in both TD receptions (46, 8). |

Nick Breisch - Defensive Back - St. Norbert College
Senior - River Grove, Ill./East Leyden
Breisch posted a full stat line during a career afternoon, as St. Norbert’s defense forced eight turnovers and held defending MWC champ Monmouth to 181 yards of offense in a 48-0 Green Knight victory. Breisch had a team-high seven tackles, two tackles-for-losses, one sack, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, one interception and one pass breakup in the contest. |

Senior - Quinnesec, Mich./Kingsford
Forstrom was a perfect 6-for-6 on extra points and made both field-goal attempts in the Green Knights’ 48-0 victory over Monmouth. The senior kicker has made all 33 PAT attempts this season and has made 54 consecutive PATs dating back to the 2005 season. His field goals against Monmouth were both good from 23 yards. His nine kickoffs gave Monmouth an average starting field position of its own 27-yard line. |

Daniels broke Monmouth’s single-game rushing record on Saturday as the Scots handed Ripon its first league loss of the season, 24-14. Daniels rushed for 247 yards on 36 carries and, in the process, became the Fighting Scots first 1,000-yard rusher since 1993. Daniels scored the first TD of the game on a one-yard run and added the game-clinching score on a 65-yard scamper in the fourth quarter. The senior running back entered the contest ranked third in NCAA Division III in rushing. |

Junior - Wittenberg, Wis./Wittenberg-Birnamwood
Kraft had just four tackles in St. Norbert’s 41-0 win over Carroll, but the junior defensive back did manage to score a defensive touchdown for the third straight week after taking an interception back 35 yards for a score. Kraft returned an interception 37 yards for a touchdown against Monmouth on October 7 and returned a blocked punt 20 yards to paydirt against Knox on September 30. Kraft has 26 tackles and four interceptions on the season. |

Derek Micke - Defensive Back - Lawrence University
Sophomore - Kaukauna, Wis/Kaukauna
Micke returned a blocked extra point for a two-point defensive conversion, which proved to be the difference in the Vikings 8-6 win at Knox. The Prairie Fire had just taken a 6-0 lead in the second quarter when Matt Frelich blocked the extra-point attempt of Kevin Malone. Micke scooped up the loose ball and returned it for two points. It was the first time in Micke’s career he had scored a defensive extra point, and the first time the Vikings had done it since pulling off the feat against Knox in 2001.

Del Monte scored two touchdowns, including the game-winner with 45 seconds remaining to lift the Pioneers to a 24-20 triumph over Knox. Del Monte recorded 182 all-purpose yards in the game, rushing 24 times for 88 yards and catching six passes for 94 yards. The senior running back scored on a nine-yard run in the second quarter before taking a fourth quarter screen pass 54 yards for the game-winning score. |

Carter led the Foresters with eight tackles and made a pair of key interceptions in the Foresters 12-8 victory at Monmouth on Saturday. Carter’s first interception occurred at the Monmouth 23-yard line and set up Lake Forest’s first score of the game. The senior linebackers second pick occurred at the Lake Forest six-yard line to thwart a Fighting Scot drive late in the opening half. Lake Forest limited the nation’s leading rusher to just 67 yards on 20 carries in the contest.

One of the conference’s top punt returners, Micke reversed roles and had a solid performance when he was called on as the Vikings emergency punter in Saturday’s 13-7 win over Beloit. The junior cornerback punted four times for an average of 26.8 yards, pinning the Bucs inside their 20-yard line three times. Trailing 7-3 late in the third quarter, Micke ran eight yards for a first down on a fake punt, keeping a drive that would eventually end in a field goal alive. Micke also returned five punts for 46 yards (9.2) and recorded three tackles, a tackle for loss and a late interception. |

Ziemnik led Lake Forest to a 19-12 come-from-behind victory at Knox on Saturday. The junior quarterback was 17-30 for 251 yards passing and he also added a team-high 30 yards rushing on five carries. Ziemnik rallied the Foresters from a 14-0 deficit with a nine-yard scoring run and a 30-yard TD pass in the second quarter, before scoring the go-ahead touchdown on the ground from a yard out with 1:51 remaining in the contest. |

Winter recorded the first points of the day for the Pioneers in a 37-6 victory over Lawrence, as the sophomore linebacker sacked the Vikings quarterback in the endzone for a 2-0 advantage. Winter recorded a game-high 15 tackles, two tackles for losses and one sack to help the Carroll defensive unit limit Lawrence to 36 yards rushing on 35 carries. |

Sophomore - Moline, Ill./Moline
Harmon made a key special teams play in the Scots 17-7 road victory over Illinois College on Saturday. With the game still scoreless in the second quarter, Illinois College punt returner D.J. Jackson looked to have broken away, but Harmon covered the width of the field to run him down. The return went for 59 yards, but the Monmouth defense held, intercepting a pass in the red zone. Harmon also took away points on the defensive side of the ball, picking off a Blueboy pass in the end zone one drive later. |

Pfalzer wrapped up his career with a memorable performance, as the Pioneers downed Beloit 39-22 at home Saturday. The senior quarterback recorded 490 yards of total offense (129 rushing and 361 passing) and accounted for five touchdowns to lead the Pioneers to the win. Pfalzer was 26-44 passing with four touchdowns (67, 1, 25, 4) and also scored on 35-yard scamper. |

Arndt made just four tackles in the Green Knights’ 49-0 win over Illinois College, but three of them went for losses, including a quarterback sack. The junior defensive tackle forced a pair of fumbles in the game, with the first being recovered by the Green Knights and turned into a touchdown on the ensuing drive. The Green Knights enter the playoffs with a 10-0 record and have recorded three consecutive shutouts at home. |

Palkovic accounted for 11 points in a perfect kicking performance, as Monmouth downed Knox 41-6 on Saturday. The junior kicker booted field goals of 42 and 36 yards, connected on five extra points and had a 41.5-yard punting average in the contest. Palkovic, who finished 30-of-31 on PAT attempts this year, placed three of his four punts inside the 20-yard line. |
