| Week 1: March 28, 2005 |

Sean Callaway, Illinois C.
Callaway, a junior infielder from Naperville Ill. (North), hit .625 and was instrumental in the team’s efforts to win four of its six games during Illinois C.’s spring break trip to Florida (March 12-18). The line for Callaway was 16 at-bats, 8 runs, 10 hits, 3 runs batted in, and 9 stolen bases. |

Brian Schutzbach, Monmouth
Schutzbach, a freshman southpaw from New Lenox, Ill., pitched what is believed to be the fourth no-hitter in the 137-year history of Fighting Scots baseball when he blanked Augustana (Ill.) on St. Patrick’s Day at Monmouth. He recorded strikeouts on eight of the final nine outs on his way to 12 total in the seven-inning game. The only other loss for Augustana, 10-2, came in Florida on March 11 when Schutzbach and the Fighting Scots beat them 5-2 in a nine-inning game. His current season stats are 2-1, 2.74 ERA, 23 innings, 29 strikeouts, 10 walks, opponents’ average is .190. He was named the NCBWA Pitcher of the Week for March 23. |

Tim Mertins, Beloit
Mertins, a senior catcher from Hartland, Wis. (Arrowhead), tied a school record this past Sunday by driving in six runs in Beloit’s victory over Wisconsin Lutheran College. In five games on the week, Mertins was 7-for-20 with seven runs batted in. In the field, he had 21 putouts and three assists with no errors. |

| Week 3: April 11,

Josh Richie, Lawrence
Richie, a sophomore pitcher from Ellsworth, Wis. (Ellsworth), took a no-hitter into the sixth inning before settling for a 7-2 win over Carroll on Thursday. Richie went the distance and allowed no earned runs and five hits (all singles) while striking out six and walking only four. He also retired the only batter he faced in relief during Saturday’s doubleheader. For the week, Richie pitched 9 1/3 innings with a 0.00 ERA, while allowing the opposition to hit only .152 against him. |

Tristan Reimolds, Monmouth
Reimolds, a senior second baseman from Monmouth, Ill. (HS), went 4-for-6 in the Scots’ 9-7, 3-2 sweep of Illinois College. He had two homers, a double, a single, four RBI’s and a sacrifice bunt. |

| Week 5: April 25,

Kevin Bryne, Grinnell
Byrne, a junior third baseman/pitcher from Chicago, Ill. (Whiteney Young), started and played in all six of the team’s games this past week, going 7 for 16 (.438 BA) at the plate with three homers and 8 RBIs. Offensively, Byrne also scored 5 runs, stole 2 bases, drew 2 walks and was hit-by-pitch three times. He started and pitched a complete-game, five-hitter in Grinnell’s win at Macalester on Sunday, while allowing three runs on five hits with three strikeouts. He went 2 for 2 with a two-run homer in the third, a stolen base and a two-run single in the first at the plate. Byrne also picked up his first save of the season in the Pioneers’ win over Central on Monday, as he threw 1 inning with 1 hit and 1 strikeout. Byrne also hit a three-run homer to secure the Grinnell win. |

Dan Williams, Ripon
Williams, a senior pitcher and outfielder from Oshkosh, Wis., led the Red Hawks to three victories in four games. On the week, Williams went 7-for-15 with eight runs and seven RBI. He had three home runs, including a grand slam. He also earned his fourth pitching victory of the season in a 7-4 victory at Lawrence allowing four runs on six hits with no walks and 13 strikeouts. |

Chris Griffin, St. Norbert
Griffin, a senior outfielder from Oneida, Wis. (Pulaski), hit .533 for the week to help St. Norbert pick up victories over Lawrence. He scored eight runs, hit three doubles and had five RBI and stole three bases. St. Norbert has won 13 straight games and heads into the conference tournament as the No. 1 seed from the North Division. |

Shawn Vanausdoll, Illinois C.
Vanausdoll, a senior outfielder from Arthur, Ill. (Arthur), helped Illinois C. pick up four consecutive victories with wins against Webster Univ. and Knox. He went 5-for-9 in the Blue Boys sweep of Webster Univ.. Vanausdoll had two homers, four runs batted in and two runs scored. His bat continued to be hot in Illinois C’s sweep of Knox. Vanausdoll went 4-for-7 in that game with two home runs and four RBI. |
