St. Norbert's Andrew Winters Named NCAA Sportsmanship Award Winner

St. Norbert College alumnus Andrew Winters (right) was selected as the 2006-07 NCAA Division III Male Sportsmanship Award recipient.

Winters graduated in May 2007 with a double major in mathematics and economics. He participated in soccer and tennis for four years, and was a first-team Academic All-American in both sports.

Winters was selected as the recipient of the prestigious award by the NCAA Committee on Sportsmanship and Ethical Conduct member. A member of that committee, Fairfield ( Conn.) University Director of Athletics Eugene Doris, honored Winters during an award presentation on October 20.

The presentation occurred at halftime of a Green Knight football game at Minahan Stadium. Doris’s speech is available below.
