Andrews named head golf coach at Carroll College
(Waukesha, Wis.) – David Andrews has been named head golf coach at Carroll College, athletic director Kris Jacobsen announced. Andrews will be in charge of both the women’s and men’s golf programs.
“I’m very excited to add Coach Andrews to our staff. The Carroll golf program has improved dramatically over the past several years and I think Coach Andrews can push it even further,” said Jacobsen. “With his professional experience, there is no question he is very experienced at maximizing athletes’ potential. Therefore he will be able to expand on the progress of both programs.”
For the past six years, Andrews has been the head girls golf coach at Waukesha high schools. In that time, he has led the program to two Classic 8 Conference Championships and two runner-up finishes. His 2005 squad qualified for the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association State Championship and finished in third place.
In addition to coaching, Andrews is also the head golf professional at Merrill Hills Country Club, a position he has held since 1989. Prior to arriving at Merrill Hills, he was the head professional at Bulls Eye Country Club in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. He is a class A-1 member of the Professional Golf Association and member of the Wisconsin High School Golf Coaches Association.
Andrews earned his bachelor of science degree at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
